Sitka Family Chiropractor Elizabeth Decker, D.C, CACCP
“I do what I love and love what I do!”
I found chiropractic after searching for a way to be involved in healthcare in a holistic, non-invasive way. My sister experienced benefit from care during her first pregnancy and she encouraged me to explore chiropractic as a profession. Maybe she wanted to have a chiropractor in the family! After completing my undergraduate degree in Biology from SUNY Geneseo, I attended New York Chiropractic College and graduated with honors in 2000. Upon graduation, I moved to Boulder, CO and joined South Boulder Chiropractic, where I practiced for 13 years. During that time, I received specialized post graduate training and certification in prenatal, postpartum and pediatric care (CACCP) from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. This extensive training included specialized care and techniques for treating children, from newborns to teenagers. The prenatal training included helping prepare the pelvis for labor and delivery and the care of specific conditions or discomforts that can occur during pregnancy. I also contributed research data that was published on the topic of prenatal chiropractic care. In addition to this specialization, I have cared for many other conditions and situations including accidents, injuries, chronic pain, and acute pain.
I am passionate about educating my patients to take an active role in their health. True health is not merely the absence of symptoms, but living the most vibrant life you can live. Chiropractic care is an important piece of achieving your health goals.
